Happy Halloween!

A bit of a change of pace for Halloween-- how about a little Lliana ready to go ahaunting? She did a step-by-step demo as she made the spider and then posted pictures of her full costume. Check it out on her Instagram

Interview with Oly Ralfe (Ralfe Band) at Glastonbury 2014

How about a little Oly Ralfe and The Ralfe Band today? I find the more I listen to their music, the more I like it. I really didn't know how much he did. Music, naturally, but in the written part of this interview from July of this year it's also mentioned that he's a filmmaker and screen composer. Read it here.
In the video he talks mainly about music.

The Mighty Boosh - Nanageddon - Live @ Royal Albert Hall

Let's travel back a few years. I hadn't ever seen this one before. The picture quality isn't the best, but the sound isn't bad, or at least I think we get a good feel for the energy of the show. Noel and Dave singing, and then Julian with his guitar. I think I'm going to have to watch this a couple more times.

Spending Time With Julian

I've been doing so much Noel lately, I needed to break it up and I found this video interview of Julian talking about the play he was doing, plus how he got into acting and his experiences with The Boosh. I think it's from 2012, but don't slap me if I'm wrong!

Finding Fielding

A very nice fan video by Kameron Shaw Doyle. She does a very good job of expressing what it is about Noel and The Mighty Boosh that inspires us. I really like that she used quoted from other fans to pad out her own story. Watch it and give her a "thumbs up". (and Kameron, I really hope he does watch it!)

Favorite Pictures

That's just not fair!

Anyway, I think the photo goes with this Sunday Times interview. I'm not going to say anything about it, just read it.

Oh, and there was another photo:

Throw Back Thursday--Richard Ayoade Stand Up!!!

"Ping-pong balls!" (watch for it--you'll miss it if you blink!) I think this is the only stand-up I've ever seen Richard do. I may have to search for some more. The first things I saw him on was IT Crowd and The Mighty Boosh.

Favorite Pictures

Oh, hell, why not one more? This write-up is by Louise Haywood-Schiefer, the photographer for the wonderful pictures for The Big Issue. She shares a full hand of photos from that shoot along with a write-up of her experience with the two. Read it here.

Noel Fielding's Soundtrack Of My Life

So The Tour starts today. How excited am I?! Sorry if you're tired of hearing about it, but I'll probably post every picture and video that shows up for the next two months. So, to start things off, here is a video of Noel talking with NME about music. It has nothing to do with the tour, at all, but he mentions Baker Street, which is one of my all-time favorite songs, even though I rarely admit it!

The Mighty Boosh at Festival Supreme - Santa Monica 2013

It's the 1 year anniversary of The Mighty Boosh Band reunion at Tenacious D's Festival Supreme on Santa Monica Pier, and as a reminder of that fantastic day (yes, fantastic even to those of us who had to troll for the snippets that got shared on-line) here's a high-light video. Noel and Julian will always have the magic, for those of us who love them! (okay, I watched it to the end, and I'm about in tears. We miss you guys!)

In Preparation For The Tour

Noel's tour starts in two days. And yes, I'm excited-- for him, for the audience that is going to get to go see him. Does that make sense, since I have a better chance of winning the lottery then seeing the show myself? So, I'll scroll through all of the sites, searching for pictures and stories and be happy with the scraps I can find. And of course, I'll read every interview I stumble across! Like this one, here, in The Telegraph.

(the photo is slightly edited here for size. Find the original in the article.)

Rhod Gilbert's first day on the job - Never Mind the Buzzcocks

I really thought I had posted this, but it's back-logged in my queue and the day is almost over, so I'm posting it now. So there!

Boys Who Do Comedy

Dawn French's Boys Who Do Comedy, I think from 2007. This is Noel's little bit. I've not seen the whole thing, so no idea who else she also interviewed or how long the actual show lasted, or if he's even in it more than this little bit. Ever notice how he's always so open and relaxed when he's being interviewed?

Another Interview

Another outstanding interview, this time published in The Scotsman. It's nice that in all of these interviews, when the subject of The Mighty Boosh and his existing relationship with Julian comes up (and it always does), that Noel stresses that they are still friends and spend time together. I think it will be really sad if they never perform or collaborate together again, simply because they seem to have such a great chemistry, but it would be sadder yet if they didn't like each other anymore.

How To Tell A Relationship Is Over (Full Version)

I've posted so much Noel lately, what with LC, NMTB, his upcoming tour, and all of the promotional stuff he's been doing lately, here is a bit of "classic" Julian from 2003. The Clash in French in that sexy voice of his. Yup, worth a watch!

Alan and Noel Fielding Invent 'The Sambocca'

Noel appeared on Chatty Man last night (10th of October) and because he is at the tail end of a cold, Alan fixed him a Sambocca! There's a little talk of Serge's appearance on Chatty Man in this short sample from the episode but mainly we get to laugh at Noel's antics, which we always love!

Happy Birthday, John

I've mentioned before that one of my first obsessions was The Beatles, and John was an obsession all on his own. I had this poster hanging on my bedroom wall (along with a whole host of others). He had this aura about him that was creative, both with his writing and with his art, that I maybe see in Noel. It's something I respect and admire. His death wasn't just a loose for his family, it was a loose for all of us.

"Will The Nurse Be In Soon?"

Noel is just busy, busy lately. This shot was posted on both his and Joseph's Twitter. Apparently he was on Lorraine Kelly this morning and this was the dressing room. (I've never been in a dressing room--do they all have beds?) If I find a video of the interview, I'll post it later.

Favorite Selfies

Noel's guests on next week's episode of Never Mind The Buzzcocks-- Nicole Scherzinger and James Acaster. Just because it's getting late and I realized I didn't post today!  (From Noel's Twitter)

Secret Policeman's Ball: Mighty Boosh 'Sword Fight'

Have I posted this before? It's possible, just because it's one of my favorites! This live performance at the Secret Policeman's Ball is full of classics; what's not to love?!

There is a collection of the-making-of-luxury-comedy photos on Instagram, under the name of luxurynige, a terrific, wonderful set of photos. I'm assuming Nige posted them, but if not, thank you to the person that did!

Throw Back Thursday

I don't play Rockband, but The Beatles were one of my biggest obsessions, equaled only by my Lord Of The Rings obsession, and this video is brilliant!
