Throw Back Thursday

How's a little bit of college-age Boosh Baby? from Catherine Sharp's Twitter. [X]

Throw Back Thursday

I'm pretty sure I posted this back when it first came out, but I was rewatching it and I chuckled when Noel talked about bringing An Evening With Noel Fielding to America and how he wasn't sure how it would go, if Americans would get it. Maybe we surprised him with out enthusiasm! (I hope so, anyway!)

The Mighty Boosh Live Lounge - Married On The Morrow

I love this video! It really is one of my very favorite things. I mean, Noel is so serious but yet he's having such a good time. I love the way his voice is all Monty Flange, low and sexy. And his little laugh at 1:25 when Julian sings. Makes me melt, every time! Perfect for a Throw Back Thursday!

Throw Back Thursday

An article in The Telegraph from August of 2002, when it was all still new and shiny and Noel was performing Voodoo Hedgehog, his one-man show, at Edinburgh. Take a trip back here

Throw Back Thursday: The Beatles

My High School and College obsession was the Beatles. Like the Boosh now, at the time I read and collected every thing Beatles that I could get my hands on. Therefore, they are my Throw Back Obsession of the day!

Throw Back Thursday--Richard Ayoade Stand Up!!!

"Ping-pong balls!" (watch for it--you'll miss it if you blink!) I think this is the only stand-up I've ever seen Richard do. I may have to search for some more. The first things I saw him on was IT Crowd and The Mighty Boosh.

Throw Back Thursday

My first true obsession was Tolkien's Middle Earth and it started with this animated TV event. I had a teacher that was a huge LOTR fan and he recommended to our class that we watch this-- which a friend and I did, and then we read the books and re-read them and saw Ralph Bakshi's Lord of The Rings multiple times. I spread that love on to my husband and my children when Peter Jackson made the movies, better than 10 years now. Yes, my obsessions can be long-lived!

Throw Back Thursday

Okay, Weird Al was never technically an obsession, but when my son was younger, weird Al was about the only music he liked, so we have all of his albums (except the last one, I just realized). A couple of years ago he performed at a small theatre in our area and we spent money we really didn't have to go see the show. I'm so glad we did-- one of the best live shows I've ever seen! Hence, Weird Al becomes my not-so-thrown-back Thursday this week!

Throw Back Thursday

I was 13 when Star Wars came out. Back then, it was just Star Wars, not A New Hope. That title seemed to come later. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen and guaranteed that I was going to be a Sci-Fi, fantasy geek. It's probably still my favorite of the 6. Can't wait to see what's to come!

Doctor Who Meets The Time Warp

Okay, I'm taking a break here. Yes, The Mighty Boosh is probably my biggest obsession right now, but I've been a Dr. Who fan since the Tom Baker days, so I'm doing an "obsession throw back Thursday" today with this little parody for your entertainment.
