Favorite Pictures

Another picture from The Velvet Onion's article.  I just really like the picture.

Mike describes his role in An Evening With… as a lot more developed than the role he played on the Boosh tours, which is something he enjoys. I ask him how the working relationship between Noel, Tom and himself differs from that of the Boosh gang. “Its very different working as a trio,” he says. “Noel, Tom and I get on very well, we never fall out – even when we’re living in each others’ pockets on the road. When you have a bigger group, like the Boosh tour did, there’s too many egos in the pot; always someone trying to outshine the others or be the loudest. There’s great camaraderie in our trio; we call ourselves the Peloton, as we all have each others backs equally.”

The Power of Three

An article from The Velvet Onion posted in November of last year, it talks about "Evening" pre-America, when Tom was touring as part of the trio. This article centers around Tom and Mike, giving it a different perspective. It's interesting to see what other projects the two are involved in.

Throwback Thursday: Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy

The Series Two Luxury Comedy documentary. You know the filming of this show was absolute bonkers, although I'm just as sure the whole thing was extremely stressful. Noel really does know all the best people! Anyway, I'm sure I've posted this before, but it's worth a second viewing!

The Power of Three

A piece from The Velvet Onion, with a twist. This interview, instead of Noel recycling answers to similar questions, centers more on Mike and Tom.  In fact, most of it is from Tom, and I find it very fresh and interesting. Take a peak!

The Ghoul - Fifteen Second Teaser

So... Tom Meeten. And Alice Lowe. I don't know anything else about this film, other than the fact that they're in it. So, that's all I'm going to say!

Another One

This particular article came after their Sydney show. Yes, I'm aware of the fact that I'm way behind. These things happen, and there is about a gazillion articles, so I may never get caught up. This one is from The Daily Telegraph

Yes, It's Another Review!

Another review of An Evening With Noel Fielding, just because I love to read reviews of things I'll never get to see!

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy - Series 2 Behind the Scenes Documentary

I thought I had previously posted this but couldn't find it this morning. So I apologize if I have and just missed it. Anyway, it's the Lux Com 2 documentary filmed by Joe Lynn. I think my favorite part is Dondy Lion and how Noel stays in character (the same with Raymond Boombox). I admit, I have a fondness for "the making of" videos. I love seeing how shows are made and watching the actors as themselves! How fun!

Spirit Guide

This isn't actually a Christmas picture, but when I first clicked on it, before I knew what I was looking at, I thought, "Oh, Christmas blanket!", not just "blanket!"  So I think I can qualify it as a Holiday picture. Anyway, it's from Tom's Twitter on November 24, a "behind the tour" type of photo that he labeled My spirit guide for the week. I think it works.

Kasabian - The Making of Re-Wired

Kasabian from a few years back, yes, but Noel pops up a couple of times (even as Vlad!) in the video so it fits in with my current obsessions. Plus, I really like the song. Maybe that makes it one of my current obsessions, too!

Belfast Telegraph Interview

A nice article from the Belfast Telegraph.co.uk. I'm not going to summarize it, just because quite a bit of it is similar to past interviews, but it's a nice read for us obsessed fans!

Tour Update

The boys after a 6-night run. Earlier in the tour they did 3 or 4 nights with a break in between, but at the moment they're doing some longer stretches. They're doing another long stretch over the next couple of weeks, then the tour ends until the end of January, when new dates got added. Originally, they were only doing around 30 shows but they added another dozen and a half after the show proved popular. Now, fingers crossed they cross an ocean! (photo from Joe's Twitter)

Yes, Another Review

It's been an exhausting day, full of  "just breath" moments, so it's nice to come home to another positive interview, found here at Beyond The Joke. Bless them!

Think Narnia Meets Yellow Submarine

The Telegraph. Yes, it's another review-- because I'm obsesses with the tour that I can't see. (Please, oh, please, come to the US!) Any way, another good review of the show that describes a bit of the fun, some small details of the sequence of the show.

So, yes, I will be posting reviews and interviews as I find them. Now, if only Julian would do a few more interviews...

The Reality of Fantasy: The Making Of Luxury Comedy 2

A behind the scenes look at Luxury Comedy: Tales From Painted Hawaii from The Velvet Onion. Cast interviews, a few outtakes, and lots of laughter. Bless them for being there for us!

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy - Series 2 Behind the Scenes Documentary

Joseph Lynn's behind the scenes documentary, which I believe is included on the DVD. But, if like me, the chances of getting the DVD are slim, watch it here! It really is a good look at the fun the crew had making Luxury Comedy. And they call it work...

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy - Series 2 - Episode 5 - Joey and the Whal...

This is the last one--yes, we waited with bated breath for a year for five episodes. But they were quality, so it was worth the wait!

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy Episode 3 - Reality Man

Today, enjoy Episode 3, Reality Man. This episode features Richard Ayoade as Reality Man, and of course Fantasy Man and Big Chief Whoolabum Boomalackaway are featured characters!
