This photo pops up on Tumblr every now and then. Because it's a good photo. So, therefore, it's time for it to pop-up here! One eye and a smirk. Could we ask for more?
When I get interested in something, I tend to obsess. At present, my obsession is anything The Mighty Boosh related. Other things may slip in once in a while, but mainly you will find this site to be fairly single minded, focusing on one subject! I have a tendency to include Boosh stuff into everything I do these days, so instead of including them in my other Blogs, I thought I would deposit them here. This way, I can have my favorite videos, pictures, gifs, etc. all in one place!

For some reason, I kind of think this might have been from 2010, but I may be way off. Anyway, I understand why they need to do their own things and not spend the rest of their lives attached at the hips. Therefore, I appreciate these little moments in time preserved for us!

The Ultimate Goth
Besides The Mighty Boosh, there are a few British comedies that are absolutely classic. Black Books, Black Adder, and Spaced comes to mind without even thinking about it. And of course, The IT Crowd is definitely in my top five. I think I'm on my third watch-through at the moment! Too bad there wasn't more Richmond, though. Who doesn't love a Cradle of Filth loving Goth?

Throw Back Thursday
Okay, Weird Al was never technically an obsession, but when my son was younger, weird Al was about the only music he liked, so we have all of his albums (except the last one, I just realized). A couple of years ago he performed at a small theatre in our area and we spent money we really didn't have to go see the show. I'm so glad we did-- one of the best live shows I've ever seen! Hence, Weird Al becomes my not-so-thrown-back Thursday this week!

The Voice of Reality (Man, that is)
"You spent a year writing something that was going to be on E4?" Outtakes featuring Richard Ayoade, or at least his voice! You just know he went off-script and had the rest in stitches most of the time, trying to do their parts and not laugh. You can tell by Noel's face, the tightness around his mouth. I'm sure fun was had by all!

Noel Fielding Interview in California, 7-22-09
I don't think I've posted this before, in fact I maybe only remember watching it once, so it was a treat to find it again this morning. My kids discovered The Boosh before us, staying up to watch Adult Swim. The husband and I didn't discover them for a couple + more years. So, anyway, July, 2009 I had no idea who they were and was miles away from California and Comic Con (although I'm a geek and always interested in Comic Con!) But it would have been amazing!

From Joseph Lynn's Twitter (obviously!) Apparently Noel has gone slightly darker with his hair. (Yes, that is the kind of thing I notice. No, I'm not obsesses with his hair. Not at all!)

Happy Birthday, Dave!
Because it's Dave Brown's birthday, here is a little Bollo for our enjoyment! We have to admire the dedication of this guy, wearing that suit for so many years! We love ya, Dave!
(Raise your hand if you watched Captain America: The Winter Solder and for a moment you thought "Dave?" when they flashed on the darkened eyes of the Winter Soldier.

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy - Series 2 - Episode 4 - Cucumbers of Cool...
I'm going to go ahead and share episode 4 today. It seems that the episodes get pulled almost as fast as they get loaded, but I'm hoping this stays up long enough for people to see it that want to! (I'll admit, I find this one a bit odd. Which is saying a lot!)

Fashion Favorites
Because it's Friday and it's been a frustrating week, I think we all need something pretty to look at! Really, how many people can combine clothes the way he does, and still make it work? Bless him!

Throw Back Thursday
One of my biggest obsessions during my High School and College years was John Lennon. The Beatles, really, all of them. I had all of the albums, even the solo stuff, books, and posters. In fact, one of my favorites was this very picture. Somehow, in the moves and just life, I've lost most of them. I think I thought I had out-grown them. Oh, how I wish I still had them!

Noel Fielding on Chatty Man
An oldie but a goodie! Noel with Alan Carr, what a gas! He talks about Series 3 of The Mighty Boosh, why doing acid while writing doesn't work and about his and Julian's relationship. The whole "I will get off of a man, if I'm drunk..." that we've all heard! Delightful!

So apparently Richard has written a book entitled Ayoade on Ayoade. Or maybe he hasn't. Who knows?!

A Small Tribute
I'm using this Throw Back Thursday to remember Robin Williams, who we lost on Monday. I say "we" because so many of us grew up with him in our life, just a presence on a screen, perhaps, but he brought laughter and sometimes deep thoughts to our lives. Like so many, I met him as "Mork", my friends and I used his words (Nanu, nanu) and I even had suspenders like he wore. So I'm writing my little tribute to him here. I know others will be much more elaborate, but I'm sorry and I'm sad. RIP, Robin. We'll miss you.

A little Julian love today, or maybe it's a little Dave Brown love. This photo, from series 1, Killeroo, of Howard was taken by Dave and can be found on his website, APE. He's got loads of his photos posted. They aren't all Boosh related, either. So go on, take a gander!

Future Man and Sunflash
An interview with Julian and Noel from Time Out London, one I've never read before. It's six weeks into the Future Sailors tour, candid and a bit sad, to my way of thinking. Just because the album and the film get mentioned again, and as we all know now, that never happened, and it seems with each passing day, it's not going to. Maybe I'm just having a melancholy day, but it made me a bit sad. But read it, anyway.

Sights and Sounds From Painted Hawaii
Have I said it before? Maybe not. If you don't follow The Velvet Onion, head over there now and check it out. They post everything that Noel and Julian are involved with, plus loads of other British Comedians and Actors. They go "backstage" and share with us. I love them a little! This particular article includes a link to Spotify and the Luxury Coffee jukebox play list. Sunny music for a dreary day!

Noel doing a photo shoot for Red Magazine. I absolutely love this. Makes for beautiful black/white photos.
Some people don't like the blonde, but it's really starting to grow on me. Maybe he just wanted to make a change, maybe he wanted to to define a different stage in his life. Either way, I approve, more and more!
Anyway, watch it here X.

Favorite Fashions
From Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2013. This was one of the funniest moments with Dara O' Briain, (starts at 1:15) "Now we just look like two people who met at a festival. And we're badly coming down off of drugs." The episode also features Jonathon Ross, Jack Whitehall, Kristan Shaal and Richard Ayoade, with Jimmy Carr.
Noel was really into that Bas Kosters outfit last year, it pops up on quite a few occasions. I want the coat and the boots!

Looking Back
Noel and Julian attended the premiere of Submarine at the London Film Festival in October of 2010, a film directed by Richard Ayoade. The photos are from Popsugar.

Some More About Luxury Comedy
Okay, so I just can't get away from Luxury Comedy quite yet. I've seen the first two episodes and have enjoyed them immensely, plus I'm just eating up all the news articles. So here's another one; an excellent article from the London Evening Standard for your approval. Check it out here.
