I may have already posted this before, but since it is one of my favorite Mighty Boosh songs/videos, I'm posting it. So there! (have I mentioned how much I love Noel in a dress?)

All That Glitters

Today's key word in the Boosh Photo Challenge is Mirrorball, and this is the first mirror ball I know of--on the dash of the get-away car in Blue Song. I love this video and judging by the fanfiction that has grown from it, I'm not the only one. Really, if you haven't read Stockholm Syndrome (by Richard Rider), do so. Also, I found one on-line called Fast Fuse that I really enjoyed. I'll warn you, they are both NC-17, so don't read them if you prefer fluff or get offended easily!

Doctor Who Meets The Time Warp

Okay, I'm taking a break here. Yes, The Mighty Boosh is probably my biggest obsession right now, but I've been a Dr. Who fan since the Tom Baker days, so I'm doing an "obsession throw back Thursday" today with this little parody for your entertainment.

Noel and Phil talk about a variety of subjects, including shoes and Amy Winehouse and tarantulas. I've watched several of these little Red Button productions. Take a half hour and page through a few of them if you need a lift for the day!

Characters

Today's Boosh Photo Challenge is Rich Fulcher. Now, maybe I've said this before, maybe I haven't, but sometimes I find Rich to be a bit much. Bob Fossil can be plain annoying at times. But I think Rich is genius with some of his other characters. I love Elanor and Lester, but I think my very favorite is Kodiak Jack. We needed more "others" and less Bob! (but Bob has grown on me a little. I don't hate him, just don't love him. yeah?)

Pictures from their live shows make me happy! And they are so stereotypical Noel and Julian here-- Noel's lightening tee, low cut skinny jeans, boots, the hair (lets not forget the hair!) and accessories, and then Julian looking all dapper in a suit.

Movie Mania

Noel in a dress and fishnet stockings!

So apparently Noel is going to be in a movie that is filming now, and this picture is a preview of what we have to look forward to. The movie is "Set The Thames On Fire" and his character is Dickie. And this picture started circulating this afternoon. Life is good!

Happy Birthday, Noel!

It's Noel's Birthday, so he gave us all a present this morning--a set of selfies on Twitter! What a thoughtful guy, since he knows we kind of make a holiday out of it!

Happy 10th Anniversary!

I feel bad because I had already posted on Sunday before I realized it was the 10th anniversary of the first broad cast of The Mighty Boosh with the episode Killeroo. So, a couple days late, but hopefully better late than never. I really do think it's the best thing I've ever seen on TV, so a big thank you for everyone involved who made it what it was and still is! XXX

Richard Ayoade wins a Bafta

The Bafta awards were last night (18 April, 2014) and Richard won for Best male comedy performance in a Television Show (words may be wrong, but you get the drift) for IT Crowd. Kathrine Parkinson also won on the female side of things. Congrats to them both and if you haven't ever watched The IT Crowd, find it and give it a go!

Favorite Scenes

Today's Boosh Photo Challenge key word is "Banana". Do a Google search of Noel Fielding Bananas. You get a whole page of images! The most famous one, I imagine, is this scene from Series One, Charlie, where Vince asks Howard if the black bits in bananas are tarantula eggs. I can't eat a banana any more without wondering it, myself! 

For Your Listening Pleasure

For your listening pleasure this morning. Noel and Julian and Rich are featured on Mary Anne Hobb's late night radio show, Breezblock, from November 23, 2004 (BBC 1 Radio). It sounds like it is stream-of-conscious, and I imagine it is at least in part. So sit back, clean your deck or shine your shoes, and just listen!

The IT Crowd Season 3 Extra - Cracking the IT Crowd

I find this extremely interesting, but it's wayyyy over my head. I've discovered in my years of being a Sci-fi geek that computer geeks have amazing minds that work in a much different way than my own. Which is fantastic! I love hanging with them, even though I don't know what they are talking about half the time!

The Mighty Boosh Songs - Ape of Death

This is the first Might Boosh anything I ever saw. My husband showed it to me and without any context I just thought "uh hah, sure. whatever." Then a few days later he had me watch "Love Games", again with no context. 'Course, then we watched the first episode of Series one. And I was hooked! If he would have done that first.....

Favorite Characters

Today's prompt on the Boosh photo challenge is "Shaman" so I posted this photo of "Kirk" the shaman. Noel has referred to him as his cousin and as his nephew, but actually he is Kirk Gaitskell-Kendrick, Dee Plumes nephew. You just know that kid had the time of his life, being on The Mighty Boosh!

Favorite Pictures

Have I said before how inspiring I find Noel's art? Well, I'm saying it again. It looks so random and slap-shot, but it's not. If you study it, there is an underlying joy in it, with his use of primary colors. You won't often find magenta or fuchsia. His paintings are bright and alive, always moving. You just know there is a story behind each one-- the subjects have a name and a back story. I wish I could paint as freely as he does.

Anyone have any idea where or when this picture was taken? I absolutely love it! It's almost as if the artist used Julian as the model.  Even the color of his shirt matches the wall so perfectly. 

Favorite Scenes

We get our first look at The Hitcher in the Series One episode "Hitcher". Who doesn't love that creepy green bloke? This episode has so many brilliant lines, but I love the idea of giving a bear something to read because he's bored. And not just some light reading, but some more substantial.

Day 6 of the Boosh Photo Challenge is simply "Noel", so I presented this screen-shot from Call of the Yeti. Barry is a one-time character, a Welch shaman who warns Naboo about the Yeti on Piney Ridge. I absolutely love Noel with a mustache, even with the thick glasses and ginger hair!

Today's subject is "boosh outfit" on the Tumblr boosh photo challenge, so I thought I would post a picture of Noel and Julian in one of my favorite outfits. Except there are too many! So I just decided to go with their pants and vests look from Series 2, Power of the Crimp!
