"We Get On Quite Well"

The Mighty Boosh Pilot is surprising good for a pilot. So here's a deleted scene about the polar bear. Genius!

I've got a rough day ahead of me, so I thought I would start it with some Baby Boosh to lift my mood!
Happy Monday, everyone!

Stand Up

Noel's doing small shows around London, preparing for his tour this Fall. He performed at Amused Moose last night (26 April) and (Twitter name) was there. She wrote up a nice piece about her experience on Tumblr. Lucky girl! I think I envy her a bit.

Favorite Scenes

Gotta love The IT Crowd! (If you don't, I'm assuming you just haven't seen it.) Anyway, this little GIF is taken from Series 4, Episode 6, Reynholm vs Reynholm, when Moss has to testify. Richard Ayoade plays awkward so well! The whole bit is hilarious, I'm not sure how his fellow actors got through the bit without falling out of their chairs. (This episode also has the benefit of Richmond's only appearance all season.)

Mighty Boosh - The Hitcher

l

"Trapped in a box by a Cockney nutjob..." Brilliant! This is definitely one of my favorite bits of music and the video is worthy of MTV! (or at least it's better than the majority of videos on MTV, well, that is if MTV still shows videos. Do they?)

Never Mind The Buzzcocks

I love Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Simon Amstell was such an ass to the guests that they began to have trouble attracting anyone. But he could be quite hilarious! Anyway, by the time Noel became a regular team leader, they were using guest hosts. But there was a few episodes that Noel was there with Simon. And this little bit, from Series 21, Episode 4 (Dec. 6, 2007) is one of the funniest ones. Okay, the whole Courtney Love thing comes in number 1 for me, but this bit comes close! (team members were Bobby Davro, Roy Stride, Richard Fleeshman and Kristen Schaal)

Rich Fulcher

A bit of Rich this morning, just to try and wake myself up. Featuring some of his best bits from everything he's ever done, I think! Life wouldn't be complete without one scene with Rich in a dress!

Just, Well, You Know....

Okay, I'm short on time and love Wuthering Heights Noely and Julian, so enjoy this GIF and have a nice Easter tomorrow, even if you don't celebrate it!

Blond Again!

Noel went blond again! I think I'm dying! He's been doing random stand-ups over the course of the last week. It's not fair! ('cause I'll probably never get to see him live.--guess I'll take what I can get. sigh)

Favorite Scenes-- Jurgen Haabermaaster

Who doesn't love "The Doctor and the Pencil'? So avant garde, so playful. Okay, and not real. But it should be! Julian is brilliant as Jurgen Haabermaaster in The Series 3 episode, "The Chokes" (as always).  Noel and Dave took it a step further, playing the characters for charity. Story here and here.

Favorite Episodes, Never Mind The Buzzcocks

Noel with Jedward on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Series 24, episode 3. "Never in my life have I looked more like a paedophile. ...get you in the back of my coffin with the right sweets. I'm imagining Tootsie Frooties for you and Jelly Tots for you." "We love jelly beans." "Your giving it away now. Your not supposed to tell paedophiles what sweets you like!" Okay, if you haven't seen this one, you HAVE to watch it. So, so funny!

Favorite Scenes-Pilot

Have I mentioned how much I love the Boosh Pilot? Well, if I haven't, I am now. So often, pilots are sub-par and you have to wonder how the show ever got commissioned. Not so with this one. If you haven't seen it, make sure to watch it. There are parts of it (like this scene) that is almost better than the episode as it aired. They're both so cute! And I love Richard Ayoade as Bainbridge. To bad he wasn't able to do Series 1, but then maybe we wouldn't have had him as Saboo, and that would have been a shame.

Rich Fulcher's 'Eleanor' Tries to Break up Metronomy

Sometimes Rich is over the top and annoying, but I really love Eleanor! Gotta love her "on the wine"!

Favorite Scenes

Luxury Comedy, Series One, episode 7 "BBQ Breakdown"-- when it all finally made sense! Noel has said that Sergeant Raymond Boombox is going to make an appearance in Series 2. I'm chuffed, 'cause he's one of my favorite characters!

Isolation

Something different for your Sunday-- Julian and Julia on the radio. The piece is a bit odd, but who doesn't want to listen to Julian's smooth voice? And he sings "Isolation". Apparently it is a radio series on the Santa Monica station, KCRW. The Velvet Onion has a bit of a write-up on it and a link. Give it a listen!

Teenage Cancer Trust--Noel Fielding, "You Bastard"

My last Teenage Cancer Trust post this week. There's more pictures and videos out there if you want to go hunting. I think it is probably a great charity and it's nice to see so many celebrities give of their time. There are still lots of good people in the world!

Russell Brand and Noel Fielding:Teenage Cancer Trust

This video is from 2013 featuring Russell Brand with Noel preparing for their show at the Royal Albert Hall. Other people to watch for is Noel Gallagher and Seann Walsh. I so wish I could see some of this stuff live instead of always second hand. Oh well, I'm on the  wrong part of the Earth. Guess I'll be happy with the scraps I can get!!!

Teenage Cancer Trust

More from the Teenage Cancer Trust weekend: From Joseph's twitter "Butch (ish) and Sundance (flash)". Rosy cheeked and having a good time, it's obvious! (I don't think that's juice in that fluted glass.)

The Cure at the Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust

I think I may spend the week featuring the Teenage Cancer Trust. Do we have anything like that in the US? I don't know, but it seems a great thing to me. So many people give their time (and money) to this Charity. I think I saw an interview once where Noel said Roger Daltrey got him involved (but don't quote me on that!). Anyway, I've really been getting into The Cure lately-- it's great to see them still so active.
