Well, crap. And right after I had just posted a piece on NMTB and Simon. (Maybe I jinxed it.sob) And I really liked Rhod as host-- I thought last season was really good. Read the news yourself, here. And then give a "yes" vote to will you miss the show. 

Life After Simon

So, I love Never Mind The Buzzcocks-- even the old pre-Noel episodes. Which means Simon. Now, don't get me wrong, I actually like Simon. But it's easy to see why his tenure became problematic. Anyway, this article from The Guardian does a nice job of explaining why the show works, even without the caustic comedian. Some nice comments from Noel, like this one: 

When shows become a bit 'alpha male' I don't like them. I prefer them when they're all flowers and unicorns." He laughs at the idea: "The ladyboy speaketh …"

Hitting My Archives Again

 Another article from Noel's "Evening" tour that I've found saved in my archives. This one is from The Skinny. I'm not going to highlight it here, you'll just have to read it. But here's a snippit: "After such a long time bringing new and baffling comedy to stages and screens it is refreshing to hear someone be genuinely excited abou their next project, especially when he's spent the last few hours on press calls."

Boosh Fan Holiday

So a very Happy 42nd Birthday to our favorite Goth/Sunshine Kid/Chosen One/Fantasy Man. He's definitely not a beach ball and I want to thank him for being my inspiration. He's made my life better, and he'll never know. But that's okay. I'm good with that. 

Christine Cant: My Life in Make Up

A shirt vid with Noel's makeup artist, Christine, demonstrating  how she creates the Spirit of Jazz. I read an interview once where he said they had planned on using prosthetics but they wouldn't work with the flaming hat (fire hazard) and she came up with this, which, in my opinion, is one of their best characters.

I may very well have posted this video before but Noel and Julian together, even if it's just as they are going into an award show to find their seat (which is what I'm assuming) with Mike and Dave floating around behind them, intercut with Noel as Vlad, is always good for a re-do.

Noel Fielding Melbourne International Comedy Festival Interview

It's going to be a bad week, time wise, I can tell. Not that it's been great lately, anyway, which is why I've not been posting daily like I used to.
