The boys after a 6-night run. Earlier in the tour they did 3 or 4 nights with a break in between, but at the moment they're doing some longer stretches. They're doing another long stretch over the next couple of weeks, then the tour ends until the end of January, when new dates got added. Originally, they were only doing around 30 shows but they added another dozen and a half after the show proved popular. Now, fingers crossed they cross an ocean! (photo from Joe's Twitter)
When I get interested in something, I tend to obsess. At present, my obsession is anything The Mighty Boosh related. Other things may slip in once in a while, but mainly you will find this site to be fairly single minded, focusing on one subject! I have a tendency to include Boosh stuff into everything I do these days, so instead of including them in my other Blogs, I thought I would deposit them here. This way, I can have my favorite videos, pictures, gifs, etc. all in one place!

Tenacious D - Simply Jazz (featuring Julian Barratt)
How exciting to come home from work and find this video waiting for me! I didn't become a Boosh fan until early 2013 and I never knew that Julian had played with Tenacious D at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2012. Our own Jazz Maverick in his natural environment!

Favorite Pictures "The Early Years"
The matching shirts, Julian's sideburns, Noel's blond hair. It has everything, which is why it's a Favorite! The Arctic Boosh phase, 1999, possibly 2000, sometime around there.

Our Boys!
I do believe this is from the Series Two DVD extras. Anyway, it's just a bit of fun for our middle of the week hump-day!

Eye of The Artist
I don't often post art here because I want to respect the Artist's rights to control their own work, but this portrait of Julian was done by his sister, Emma Pettifer, titled The Eyes of A Mistrusting Elephant and was displayed at an exhibit of her work and is apparently available for purchase. I'm rather intrigued, and impressed!
Yes, Another Review
It's been an exhausting day, full of "just breath" moments, so it's nice to come home to another positive interview, found here at Beyond The Joke. Bless them!

Occasionally a picture turns up that I've never seen before. This is one of them. What, where? I have no idea. But I really like it. So it's today's Favorite Picture!

Favorite Pictures
This popped up on Tumblr and I don't know who's picture it is, almost guessing it might be another of Joe's? I'm thinking that just because it was posted with a couple of others that I know are. So, just guessing. How can a guy do the same show over and over and still look so genuinely happy?

Think Narnia Meets Yellow Submarine
The Telegraph. Yes, it's another review-- because I'm obsesses with the tour that I can't see. (Please, oh, please, come to the US!) Any way, another good review of the show that describes a bit of the fun, some small details of the sequence of the show.
So, yes, I will be posting reviews and interviews as I find them. Now, if only Julian would do a few more interviews...

Noel Fielding: An Interview on Absolute Radio
A recent interview about interviews. And about his fans. And how protective they are. About how his and Julian's fans feel like they are the only ones, like The Boosh is a secret, and I understand that. The fandom almost feels very close and personal. I hadn't thought about it before--it is rather odd, and true.

An Evening Review
So this morning we get a review from The Southern Daily Echo of Noel's show at The Mayflower. It's mainly positive, calling the show "artcom", which I think is brilliant. So many reviews don't want to give "spoilers" and don't describe the flow of the performance, but this author gives us a bit of a line-up without going into too much detail. It's a nice little write-up.

What The F*ck?
So, I'm going off topic a little this morning, although not really. Are you familiar with Gus The Fox? He has a book and everything. With a forward by Noel. So, you see the connection. I follow Gus on Twitter (@GusTheFox) and this morning he posted this interview on Open. Good times!

Another Noel Interview
An interview with Noel published by Time Out London today. Like most interviews, they rehash the past with the last Boosh tour and partying and we have his pat answers that we hear in so many interviews ("I gave Aerosmith a run for their money") but there are a few lovely questions and answers I've never read before and as always, some nice comments about Julian. So take a few minutes and check it out. (the photo is cropped for room. See the full photo, plus a couple more, on the site.)

Favorite Pictures
I'm running late today, and time is extremely limited, so I'm sharing this picture that I saw a few days ago of Noel and James, from Instagram and I'm not going to write anything (since I really have no idea what's going on or where they are, anyway!)

Fashion Watch
Not the greatest quality photo, I'll admit, but it's the coat I'm focusing on at the moment. Noel's been pictured wearing it quite a lot lately, and it does look warm. I appreciate it more and more as the cold weather invades us here in my own little corner of the world and I sit here, bundled up in a robe and a Snuggie. I never finds clothes like that at my local stores!

Set The Thames On Fire
Noel as Dickie in the upcoming movie, Set the Thames on Fire. I know very little about the movie, other then the fact that I'll be lucky if I get to see it. I realize part of the effect of this picture is the talent of the photographer, and possibly even some CG manipulation, not just the makeup, but oh, my, how garish he is! I can't decide if I'm fascinated or freaked out!

Throw Back Thursday in Green
Polos and white wigs and striped shirts. I'm going to consider this a "throwback Thursday" picture, since it is a few years old now. That counts, right?

An Evening With Noel Fielding - Dunfermline
I'm going to search for snippets from Noel's tour and post a few. After all, since I'm an ocean away this is probably as close as I'm going to get to seeing a show (unless he does a video). Anyway, this one is Raymond Boombox. While reading some of the reviews of the shows, I noticed that Raymond is an audience favorite, so we will start with him.

The Mighty Boosh - Nanageddon
Some classic The Mighty Boosh Band for our enjoyment. Filmed in New York in 2009. It's late and I'm tired so I'm going to leave it at that. Just be sure to admire Noel's short dress and don't blink or you'll miss the kiss!

Lucky Break - Trailer
Julian mentions Lucky Break briefly in an article in The Guardian from 2001, before The Mighty Boosh was TV popular. Because this interview is 13 years old, he speaks about things that have since happened, and we as the audience are aware of, but at the time he didn't know where it was all going to go. I think that is the fun of the read. As far as Lucky Break is concerned, I haven't seen it but I think I'm going to have to try and find it. It has quite the cast.

Hitting the "archives" again and found this beauty-- a bit of baby Noel and Dave. A before they were famous type picture if there ever was one!
