Favorite Pictures

The was the big Teenage Cancer Trust weekend. I read that The Cure were wonderful. Most celebrities work with different charities and this is one that Noel works with. This picture is him on stage with some young people who have suffered and been treated with cancer. He really must like that dress--he seems to wear it quite often. For some reason, that makes me feel good--that he didn't wear it in the past just for shock value or to advertise for Bas Kosters.

I've been gone for a few days (internet problems) but I'm back and celebrating with a favorite scene. I mean, who doesn't love the "Bouncy Bouncy Crimp" from the Series 3 episode "Party"? Come on, lets all sing along!

Watch this when you have time to really listen, because Noel and Julian and discussing the making of the show with Paul King. It's wonderful!

Favorite Scenes

The Tundra Rap from the Pilot Episode of The Might Boosh and then used again in the Series 1 Episode "Tundra". It's one of my favorites and I think it's a great example of Julian and Noel's diversity. They filmed the pilot and then when they made the series they used parts of the pilot for this episode. There are parts of the pilot that are hilarious and aren't included in the Series, so if you haven't seen it, check it out.

Favorite Scenes

Vince demonstrates his compassionate side when he delays his search for Howard to cuddle with the polar bear in the Series 1 episode, "Tundra". If we didn't love him before, we did at that moment. I've seen the episode times beyond count, and I still go "ohhh". 

Fashion Watch

Usually we focus on Noel's ensembles, but lets take a look at Julian here.The coat, the scarf, the bag. (And since I have a thing for scruffy men, that hair cut.) Woof! But then again, Noel is wearing that coat and that  pair of boots. We can go both ways here, I think.

One of my favorite episodes of The IT Crowd is from Series 2, "The Dinner Party", (2007). Is it because there is more Richmond than most other episodes? Very possibly! But I love Moss in this one, too. Especially at the end of the evening when he says he's taking his "date" home, like they're an old married couple. Funny stuff!

An interesting article from The Observer Magazine, written in 2007, shortly before Series 3 aired on BBC3. I think this is one of the better articles/interviews I've read about The Mighty Boosh. I feel like the author did a good job of communicating the duo's personalities and sharing his impressions of the two. Read it here.

Noel with The Rev (Paul Moule-Mayers). This picture makes Fashion Watch because they are both dressed to kill here! I'm not sure what Noel's "look" is, maybe French Duke Goth? No matter, I love it, no matter what you want to call it! 

Peace One Day - Bucks New Uni Interview Celebrities

A little seriousness for the day. This interview features a hand full of people, including Dave and Noel, on peace and it's meaning. It's an interesting watch. Makes me love these two even more!

Favorite Scenes

I love Nathan Barley. I think I've mentioned that before. Dan's spiral down is almost heartbreaking. It would have been brilliant if there had been a second series that had him dig his way back up. But maybe that would have gotten in the way of other things that followed in Julian's life. We'll never know!

He just always finds the best shirts! Not fair--I've got Kohl's and K-Mart to shop at, and they just don't carry the Noel Fielding look!

The silver boots--I love the silver boots! Then there is the to-be-expected tight jeans, the great jacket and the fabulous hair. But I think the thing I love best is the Dr. Jekyll bag. Forget purses--I want a bag that a serial killer would be proud to carry!

Noel's a bit ginger here in this scene from the Pilot Episode. Of course, it could always be an illusion caused by the lighting or other factors, but he did go a bit ginger in 2002/2003. He's so pretty as a ginger! (or blonde, or black or blue, or, well... you get the drift.)

Mighty Boosh - Series 3 Publicity (Part 1)

The publicity that The Mighty Boosh did for Series Three, it's found on the DVD in the extras. It's a look into what goes into producing a show beyond the actual work beyond writing, filming, and editing. Radio and t.v. interviews, a photo shoot at NME, Julian getting his hair cut, train rides, Kasabian; this video has it all!

The boat scene in "The Legend of Old Gregg" (series 2) has got to be one of my favorites in the series. Howard is intentionally mean to Vince. It doesn't really happen often (usually it's the other way around, isn't it) but don't you just imagine Vince has been whining and he's tired of it by now? Enough to give him the raft and not the pump? If he's busy blowing up the raft he can't talk. Okay, I'm rambling. The cough meds are affecting my ability to think at the moment! But you get my drift.

Have I mentioned before that this is my favorite sweater? That I melt every time I see a picture with Noel wearing it? I don't know why, but the color just seems so right with his complexion and hair. And Julian seems so gruff in this picture, protective. Is it any wonder they get shipped?

Hunger Magazine photo of Noel at the In Style Bafta party with Lliana on Tuesday, Feb. 4. There were several other pictures, one with Allison Mosshart in which Noel's clothes looked loose and his legs looked like twigs. It was decidedly odd.
